Classically awesome. With a maximum of three students in a class and the best teachers, our program has been training better readers and writers for over 30 years. Our classes are online and our physical library of over 2,500 books is still open.
Students can choose and read a book from our on-site or virtual library of over 2,500 books.
Each week, students will complete a homework assignment which is customized to their book selection.
Our teachers review every assignment. Each student receive instruction and feedback individually.
Based on teacher feedback, students will revise their essays to reinforce their memory of new concepts.
Proper instruction is key to proper learning.
Highly passionate teachers guide students through the writing and editing process and help them improve. All our instructors are qualified and have teaching experience. Plus, they're trained by SpiderSmart to use our four-step process. Unlike many other places, we never use college students or novice teachers. Because a good teacher is essential to learning.
We have some of the highest standards when choosing teachers.

Individual instruction. Almost like a private lesson.
In our 30 years of experience, we found that large classes don't work that well, especially with something deeply individual like writing. At three students per teachers, our Reading + Writing program allows teachers to individually assess each student's strengths and weaknesses. That means better, more efficient learning.
We have some of the smallest classes compared to comptetitors.
We created our own vocabulary enrichment to supplement the SpiderSmart curriculum. It's included as part of the Reading + Writing program. Students learn up to 14 new vocab words, chosen by experts, each week. Standardized tests? Complex reading passages? Better writing? Imagine all the things a larger vocabulary bank could help with.
Our powerful vocabulary enrichment included with the Reading + Writing program.
Yes, our Reading + Writing program helps with that too.
Our Reading + Writing program teaches the necessary skills to perform well on the SAT like critical thinking, reading comprehension, and literary analysis. If your child isn't getting ready for the SAT, these skills are still helpful for school work. That means real results, no matter the grade level.
Our program helps with the most important skills needed to succeed on the SAT.
Our program covers the following SAT topics:
Read, analyze, and use reasoning to comprehend challenging literary and informational texts, including publications in science and history/social studies.
